CPCL'S CONTRACT FOR COMMERCIAL
PLANT
CPCL, having convinced on the technology, economy and
efficacy of the pilot plant, awarded in 2000, on Nomination
basis, contract for Zero Discharge Plant, of one million
Gallons per day, at SGD 2.5 million.
The
UF Plant was commissioned in 2001, within 5 months -
with 100% UF membrane manufactured by MTL, in India
including the total UF plant.
MTL
incorporated various innovative designs to make it compact,
easy for operation and maintenance, all controlled by
PLC.
As part of the original contract, MTL is handling "Operation
and Maintenance" of the Plant.
This first plant, is successfully running for the past
2 years, without change of any membrane, with excellent
membrane integrity.
Originally this plant was envisaged for handling tertiary
treated sewage for directly using in cooling tower and
through RO for DM Plant.
However, CPCL is using the same plant for recycling
the effluent, as and when required, and thus has become
the First Zero Discharge Plant.
